“This song is a harsh critique of the government of the United States of America,
which since after World War II has arrogated to itself the right to behave like an
emperor and policeman of the world. Under the pretext, at first of defeating
communism and then of exporting democracy and freedom, they have corrupted
governments, financed coups and militarily attacked innocent populations, self-
proclaiming themselves the “world’s vigilantes.” In truth, the purposes of this
warmongering attitude, have been exclusively economic and military expansionist.
Currently, however, “the empire” is beginning to creak and their economy to suffer a
heavy contraction”.
