Matthew 7:15
“Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves.

Toxic Lullabies was written to challenge people to take a step back and look at their spiritual influences. We live in a time that everyone wants to think that they are the one that believes the truth and everyone opposing is believing a lie. As we wrote this song we were struck by how easy it is to believe a lie. This song primarily deals with spiritual teaching that does not align with scripture. Unfortunately, not everyone labeled “Pastor” can be trusted. Not every “Christian Band/Artists” are rooted in truth. False prophets will only become more prevalent in our culture as time moves on. Their messages often sound great but once held up to scripture are nothing more than heresies or “sugar coated profanity”. We are told that we don’t need to change anything about ourselves “You are perfect the way you are”. It is true that we are invited to come to the cross with all our sin and filth but we are also called to grow and be transformed (sanctified).

Rarely are we told bluntly to embrace paganism or renounce our faith. In our modern culture we are sung to sleep with the sweet sounds of false/soft doctrine ultimately rendering us useless in the kingdom of God. Our faith is not executed on display but quietly poisoned without us really realizing what’s happening. We encourage the listener to “wake up” “Don’t fall asleep” “Don’t close your eyes to the toxic lullabies”. Pick up the Word of God for yourself. It’s only when we know His word for ourselves that we can also identify the poisonous lies and take a stand boldly against them. We must be made strong in the truth “Cause Only Lions Stand Against the Wolves”.

2 Peter 2:1
But false prophets also arose among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Master who bought them, bringing upon themselves swift destruction.
